Gerber Organic Baby Food

Two kinds of Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pouches are being voluntarily recalled by the company. A packaging defect could possibly make the food product vulnerable to spoilage during transport and handing of the food.

The only two types of pouches affected by this voluntary recall. The first type is Pears, Carrots and Peas. Pouches affected by the recall are as follows:

Best buy date of July 12, 2016 with a batch number of 51945335XX

Best buy date of July 13, 2016 with a batch number of 51955335XX

The other type of Gerber baby food affected by this recall is Carrots, Apples and Mangoes. Pouches included in the recall are as follows:

Best buy date of July 13, 2016 with a batch number of 51955335XX

Best buy date of July 14, 2016 with a batch number of 51965335XX,

The company has indicated that affected pouches may look “bloated” and the product may have a strange taste or odor.

If you find you have these products in your pantry, do not use them. Contact the company’s Parents Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556. The company will provide the consumer with replacement coupons.
