Johnson & Johnson Issues Massive Recall of Over-the-Counter Meds

Pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson has recalled many over-the-counter drugs due to a moldy smell that was making consumers ill.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has received over 70 complaints from consumers who because ill with nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea after noticing the odor. The smell was due to chemicals used to treat the wooden pallets leaking into the bottles.

The number of bottles of recalled medications is unknown, but the recall includes the following caplet and geltab medications: regular and extra-strength Tylenol, Children’s Tylenol, 8-Hour Tylenol, Tylenol Arthritis Pain, Tylenol PM, Children’s Motrin, Motrin IB, Benadryl Rolaids, Simply Sleep, and St. Joseph’s aspirin.

Only certain batches were recalled. To see a complete list of recalled medications with images, bar codes, NDC codes, UPC codes, and lot numbers, please see the McNeil Consumer Healthcare page.

If you have one of these medications, stop using it and contact the company at (888) 222-6036 for a refund.

On April 14, 2010 I went to Wal-Mart to get some Rolaids
and to my surprise they had Recall on the shelf when I
went to ask a Clerk about them , (with an attitude) she
said I don`t know maybe it`s just something they put in
them (Rolaids) by mistake this felt real good with her
    comment she had given me
Well today is April 15, 2010 a day after I had found out
about this recall on the Rolaids I had made a call today
April 15, 2010 and found out that I`ve been taking
something I shouldn`t be takin (Rolaids that have been
recalled) Now I`ve been told because of the syptoms I
have been having which I never thought of may be causing
a few of my problems Nausea, Stomach pains Vomiting and
Diarrhea This has really become a concern since I`m not
a news or paper buff and I live in the country and when
I purchase anything its a few things since the corner
store is not at the corner I take rolaids everyday and
finding out about this it scares the _ _ _ _ out of me
now What pisses me off is that to look at whats happen
Johnson and Johnson knew about this for some time 2007 I
think they didn`t care it`s all money I`m terrified of
needles as it is and now I have to get blood test and
who knows whatever else. I think MAYBE I should talk to a Lawyer before I may say too much To think of it this stuff that has contaminated these bottles is Really not good for the Human Body
How can these Companies get away with this
